Yes...God has answered my prayers and has given me my wildest dream. To be married again. Last Sunday before our honey moon, I wanted to drop two lines in here that
I...WAS MARRIED! But..there were time restraints and I had to pack away my lap top for our honey moon.
Okay...Our wedding day went exactly as planned. It was beautiful. We were surrounded by over 200 guests. Not daunting for me because I am used to being up front...but for Sue...I am sure she was a wreck. Pastor Bill did a wonderful job. He was dressed in his robes that he only brings out for weddings..and funeral I suppose. The day went too fast. I didn't get to spend as much time with each person that I would have liked, but the seating arrangements were made to keep like people together.
The day was not without its moments. First...one of the bridesmaids fainted. She was quite embarrassed and had no idea what had happened. Sue did not move from her perch on top of the stairs to assist...there were enough people that were available. That was a good thing. Bill lost his place..but quickly recovered. During our wedding vows it was difficult. We could not hear Bill because he was being amplified with a cordless Mic. When it came time to repeat the vows....well...we could not help but smile and laugh because it was impossible to know what Bill had said. He was only two feet away but the overhead speakers drowned out his voice! There was something else funny that happened...but I want to get the wording done right.
We kissed...and walked down the aisle and greeted our non-stop line of guests. Then...with my wifes brilliant idea..we were pelted by 200 people throwing imitation rice. (sugar) I almost believe each guest took 2 bags. But they got us good...and it felt like people were throwing rice at us for 5 minutes.
My brother Mark did a drum circle! That is his profession. He is a drum circle facilitator. He handed out drums to everyone in the audience and we had a grand time with Sue and I sitting in the middle. There are actually several scriptures that specify using drums to give glory to God. I have them..but they are far away at another end of the house. I will try to write more about this in the future.
Sue and I went to Bermuda on a Cruise...that is why I am writing so late. I really want to get deep into that...but that too will be when I have pictures ready to share!
Currently I am home sick. I have found...and have known for a long time that I do not travel well. I wish I was able to...but it takes a lot out of me and days to recover. I have a middle ear problem...and it has done me a disservice for such a long time. Trips to see Nick in VA. are torture. They take seven hours...and I do get real sick and queasy despite how much medication I take.
That is too much. I am missing church but I am writing here! Our honey moon was blessed and joyous and that is all that counts. Sue and I both recognize God's hand and how everything has unfolded. We, together could not write a better romance story.
That story should be pending.
Yesterday I received my Alfie magazine. In the centerfold..was my story. How exciting...and how different things are today than they were 12 years ago. You can see the start of the article here....or go to my story sections and read A Christmas Story.
On an end note. God is good....Always. He is my source of joy ever day and I hope to write about the blessing Sue has been for me. In my Story I write about my 1ST wife...but the Lord has given me a new wife..and I hope I can convey the same love that I feel for er....she that meets my needs and I pray everyday that I meet hers...120%
Peace to You All!
