Yes...I remember when we made telephone calls from booths or hanging from poles. Can you believe the phone chord was only about 3 ft tall...and you were totally anchored at where the phone was connected.
Today...Look Around. Where are all the phone booths. They are disappearing. I confess it looks might strange these days when I see someone using a phone.
The other side of the coin. I have a regular Verizon Land Line...with expensive AT&T long distance charges. I have an internet phone in my bedroom. The plan was to get rid of Verizon. I just cannot pull the trigger. I have a cell phone and there is a cell phone available for my boys. Sue has a cell...and so does Alexis. I look at them and they have become the norm. It is their umbilical chord. It does frighten me. Will children ever separate from their parents? Or will they forever be umbilcalled by the Cell?
